Home Visit Appointments
We understand that some patients may be unable to travel to our clinic for their routine Podiatry appointment, that's why we also offer a domiciliary care service.
Home Visit Appointments: An Overview
Our domiciliary service provides home visit podiatry appointments for people in and around the Rochdale area. We are well equipped to offer a near full range of our available services in a comfortable home environment with the exception of a small number of specific surgical procedures.
This type of appointment is available to patients who have become housebound due to immobility or illness, those recovering from Orthopaedic surgery and the elderly who are no longer able to travel to our clinic. We're also more than happy to visit both residential and nursing homes as required.
Home Visit Appointments: The Appointment
A typical home visit appointment tends to last around 30 minutes where a full assessment and treatment will be undertaken. We will take a full medical history and it is important that we're aware of all medication currently being taken.
If you are booking a domiciliary appointment on behalf of the patient it is important that access is discussed and agreed with them in advance. We will also need to be made aware of any specific problems prior to our visit so that we can bring the appropriate equipment as required.
If the patient is currently residing in a nursing or residential home please ensure you have confirmed our appointment times with their staff, so that they are aware of our intended visit and that it does not conflict with their existing timetable.
